WagyuSpot
National verified Wagyu directory built on published editorial standards, with 130,000 words of guides, origin pages, and buying collections.
About This Project
A verified national directory for Wagyu beef, covering restaurants, retailers, and the farms that raise the cattle, with roughly 130,000 words of editorial content across educational guides, city hubs, origin and brand pages, buying collections, and a national provenance report.
The differentiator is the standard behind the listings. Every authenticity claim has to clear a published verification tier before it appears, and the reasoning is public: a “How We Verify” page, a corrections policy, and an explicit distinction between a venue whose sourcing was confirmed and one that only advertises Wagyu on a menu. Roughly a quarter of listed venues clear the full provenance bar, and the site says so plainly rather than rounding up.
The content layer was planned as a four-wave SEO program sequenced by commercial intent, pairing educational guides with buying-intent collection pages and splitting them by search intent so the two would not compete for the same query. Keyword exports were validated against Search Console before build order was committed, separating paid competition metrics from organic opportunity and filtering branded ambiguity out of inflated clusters.
Technically it runs JSON-LD structured data including FAQPage schema, canonical handling, sitemap generation, an indexation threshold that keeps thin location pages out of the index, and an llms.txt implementation for AI search. Automated tests validate published figures against the underlying dataset, so a number in the prose cannot drift from the number in the data.
